     When I heard that Dominique was going to start his website; I felt compelled to write this for those who might want to embark on a beautiful journey with him. I call it that because that was my experience with Dominique and Cedar Bluff Rottweilers.

     It was June of 2016 and I had just been called by the online breeder from which I was trying to buy a puppy and they informed me that there was an issue with my litter of puppies; and the purchase I had made for a Rottweiler had fallen through. I had been promising my 2 boys a puppy for over 3 years and now I sat at the Kitchen table with my head in my hands not knowing how I was going to explain to them that their puppy wasn’t going to come. To put it lightly, I was tremendously stressed and upset. Primarily because there was no puppy coming but even more than that; I had no idea what to do or where to go to get another.

     After sitting at the kitchen table with a blank stare for about an hour. I noticed that my house phone was ringing non-stop. Like most people we don’t use our house phone so of course I thought it had to be telemarketers calling. It was quite annoying because it wouldn’t stop. So, I did something I never do; I answered it. On the other end was a voice that asked,” have you found a Rottweiler yet?” To say the least, I was more than surprised and kind of weirded out because I never gave anyone my house number and to be honest, I didn’t even know it myself. I asked, “who is this and how did you get this number?” The caller identified himself as Dominique and somehow, he had tracked us down through my wife’s name(we had placed many feelers on the internet for puppies).  We discussed my situation and I told him about my love for Rottweilers and how much I wanted to share that love with my 2 sons. I had owned the dogs in my past but long before I had children. After telling me how sorry he was that I had such difficulties acquiring a puppy; he went on to explain that he had an incredible breeding about to take place and he wanted me and my family to take part in it.

    He introduced me to Shayla, a magnificent female Rottweiler, with a world champion pedigree. I’m sure there are plenty of pictures of her on this website. Dominique said that this would be her first breeding and that it would be a rare and extraordinary one. We embarked on a truly incredible journey. I secured my puppy with a deposit but it took exactly 1 year for me to get my puppy. I say this because I want to point out that even though Dominique was concerned about holding my deposit so long, it didn’t bother me for one moment.  Mainly because even with family ordeals, a false pregnancy and well simply life; Dominique made a point to keep me informed. Through daily phone calls and FaceTime, I felt like I never missed anything. Dominique and Shayla became part of the family. My sons and I visited daily with Shayla and once she had the puppies it was the greatest feeling ever. Dominique shared every moment of the puppies lives with us; starting from birth up until it was time to pick up the puppy. So instead of having the puppy shipped; which is usually how most people receive their puppies, we decided to visit Cedar Bluff Rottweilers, pick up Hercules and visit with Dominique and Shayla. It was wonderful.

     My family and I owe Dominique so much words can’t express. The joy that I felt when my boys first saw Hercules and picked him up; was incredible.  To this day Dominique continues to be a part of our family and we were blessed the day he called me. I can’t guarantee that you will become family like we have become; but I do know that Dominique pays meticulous attention to the details of breeding Rottweilers. He loves the dogs and it is his true passion. From beginning to end, he is deeply engaged and involved in the entire process of producing impeccable Rottweiler pups.
